- 1 Dutch oven
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil To saute the vegetables
- 3 Carrots Peeled, chopped
- 1 Onion Chopped
- Garlic
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 lb Ground pork or Sausage
- 45 ounce Canned Tomatoes 3 (15 oz) cans diced tomatoes if you have fresh garden tomatoes 1⅓ pound that would be best
- 6 Fresh basil leaves or ½ teaspoon dried basil
- 2 tsp Brown sugar
- 1½ tsp Kosher Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
- 2 Cup Beef Broth
- 1 lb Spaghetti
- 1 Large Green Bell Pepper chopped
- 1 Cloves Garlic Minced
- 6 ounce Tomato paste [ 1(6 oz) can ]
- 1½ tsp Oregano
- ½ tsp Dried thyme
- 1 Bay leaf
Instructions
- In a dutch oven cook meat, onion,green pepper, and garlic till meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat.
- Stir in un-drained tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar, oregano, salt, basil, thyme, and bay leaf.
- Stir in the water or beef broth. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 ½ to 2 hours or till sauce is of desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
- Oh it's so good.
Notes
This meal will go good with fried chicken or Catfish garlic bread and more.
