45ounceCanned Tomatoes 3 (15 oz) cans diced tomatoesif you have fresh garden tomatoes 1⅓ pound that would be best
6Fresh basil leaves or ½ teaspoon dried basil
2tspBrown sugar
1½tspKosher Salt
½tspPepper
2CupBeef Broth
1lbSpaghetti
1Large Green Bell Pepperchopped
1Cloves GarlicMinced
6ounceTomato paste [ 1(6 oz) can ]
1½tspOregano
½tspDried thyme
1Bay leaf
Instructions
In a dutch oven cook meat, onion,green pepper, and garlic till meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat.
Stir in un-drained tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar, oregano, salt, basil, thyme, and bay leaf.
Stir in the water or beef broth. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 ½ to 2 hours or till sauce is of desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
Oh it's so good.
